Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering provides in-depth knowledge about various Electrical and Electronics equipments with practical training and industrial interaction. It motivates the students to enrich their knowledge in Electrical machines, Electronics, Measuring Instruments, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers, Control systems, Electric circuits, Power Electronics, Solid State Relays and Power system. The subject provides facility to the designing and testing various Electrical Motors, Generators and Transformers. The students are well trained in Winding of transformers, Calibrating measuring instruments and designing electronic circuits and provides the knowledge in transmission and Distribution of Electrical power.

The EEE department has very spacious of area 6,744 sq. ft labs with well equipped equipments such as Induction Motors, Alternators, Synchronous Motor, Shunt & Compound Motors, Series Motors, Shunt Generator, Compound Generator, Transformers, Auto – Transformers, Tachometers, Resistive Loading Bank, Lamp Loading, Inductive Loading, RL Loading Bank, Capacitive Loading Bank, Starters, Portable Meter, Dynamometer, Power factor Meter, Double Element Wattmeter and etc., and highly qualified and experienced staff members.

The staff members are committed and dedicated in their work exploring all the possible and innovative method to teach the students according to Anna University requirement in all the subjects. During the lecturing classes, the staff uses OHPs , Power Points, LCD Projectors, etc., to explain the important points of the topics in the subject.

The combined subjects Electrical and Electronics demand the study of both Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). EEE is a very broad field that encompasses many sub-fields including those that deal with power, instrumentation engineering, telecommunications, and semiconductor circuit design amongst many others. From the global positioning system to electric power generation, electrical or electronics engineers are responsible for a wide range of technologies.
